The clean lines of the F make it a favorite of mine and I made many plastic model kits in all scales, including this 1/48th version by Airfix. I also grew up near RAF Benson where the famous 'Black 6' was restored. The thought of seeing a DB engined 109 (rather than those grotesque 'merlined' things) flying over head gave me goosebumps.
